Meet Boing / No. 002
Elastic
& Bright.
Could not start
Boing couldn't load. It needs WebGPU or WebGL2, which current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all have, on desktop and phone.
The science reads explain what it's made of, and work on anything.
Meet Boing
Zero chill. Pull it and let go.
Grab the ball, pull it to the side and let go. Boing keeps almost all its energy from one bounce to the next, so it wobbles way longer than real jelly ever could.
What's going on
Boing uses the same pressure, shape and shear rules as Wobbert. The difference is damping: it's set to almost zero, and the floor is super bouncy (high restitution). So this is a deliberately unreal material. No real gel acts like this.
Try this
Softness changes how fast it squashes and springs back. Energy retention changes how long the bouncing lasts. As it starts, it's bright, fast and loses almost nothing.
Keep going
Now poke Wobbert and feel the difference, then read why jelly wobbles for the physics behind it.
